2020e Portable Turbidity Meter
The 2020e sets a new standard for laboratory accuracy in an extremely compact, portable instrument for turbidity measurement. It is an ideal choice for regulatory monitoring, process water testing, and environmental water analysis in the field or laboratory. A multi-detector optical configuration assures long term stability and minimizes stray light and color interference. All readings are determined by the process of signal averaging over a 5 second period. This minimizes fluctuations in readings attributed to large particles and results in rapid, highly repeatable measurements.
The microprocessor enables auto-ranging over the full range of 0 to 4000 nephelometric turbidity units (NTU) and provides direct digital readout with a resolution of 0.01 NTU for the lowest range and an accuracy of ±2% over all ranges. The simple calibration procedure involves activating the up or down keys until the reading matches the standard, then the microprocessor adjusts the factory programmed calibration curve accordingly. This nephelometric turbidity instrument meets or exceeds EPA design specifications for NPDWR and NPDES turbidity monitoring programs as specified by USEPA method 180.1.
The 2020e Portable Turbidity Meter comes with six optically selected sample vials with screw caps, 0 NTU, 10 NTU and 100 NTU AMCO calibration standards, 9 volt battery, and a rugged carrying case. An RS-232 port is provided to interface with a datalogger or computer but requires an optional RS-232 cable.
