Pocket pHep 5 Waterproof pH Tester

When the first version of the pHep (pH electronic Paper) was designed in 1986, it immediately revolutionized the standards in pH measurement. The pHep's ease-of-use in combination with its affordability made it possible for non-technical and technical personnel alike to measure pH on the spot, accurately and inexpensively throughout a variety of industries. Since its introduction, over 1 million pHep's have gone to satisfied customers around the world.

The major advancement of the pHep 5 over previous models is the incorporation of a replaceable pH electrode cartridge with a renewable reference junction. When the cloth junction becomes dirty, simply pull it out 3 mm to rejuvenate the electrode. If renewing the reference junction does not correct the problem, then the pH electrode cartridge can be replaced by the end user for a moderate cost.

Housed in IP-67 waterproof ABS cases, these pocket-sized pH Testers ensure the best protection against dust and humidity in indoor and outdoor applications. If accidentally immersed in water, the meter will float and the circuitry will remain unharmed. The auto switch-off feature prolongs the life of the batteries, delivering up to 350 hours of use. The display indicates when a stable pH value has been reached, ensuring that only accurate readings are taken, and includes a battery level indicator.

Calibration is automatic and can be performed easily, even by non-technical operators. Simply press the 'ON' button for 3 seconds, and the display prompts the user to submerge the tester into pH 7 buffer. After 20 seconds the display prompts immersion in the second buffer (4 or 10 pH). When that is completed, the meter is automatically calibrated and returns to operating mode. The pHep is supplied complete with protective cap and 4 x 1.4V batteries. Specifications
