OBS-3+ Turbidity Probe

The OBS-3+ sensor measures suspended solids and turbidity by the optical backscatter method (ASTM 6677). It features a compact micro probe that responses almost linearly over a 1000-fold change in sediment concentration (SSC) and turbidity, which is advantageous in natural systems where concentration can vary widely. Other features include, an infrared measurement system and an optical filter with synchronous detection to reject ambient light. Standard ranges are 0-250, 0-500, 0-1000, 0-2000 and 0-4000 NTU, and available with a voltage or mA output. A low range output, one quarter of the standard range, is also provided. The OBS-3+ can be submerged to a depth of 500 meters and is ideal for a wide variety of monitoring tasks in industrial, laboratory, river, estuary, and oceanic applications. Specifications
